Brick Victorian House

This quaint Victorian cottage is a well preserved example of lat 1890’s residential architecture. Typical Victorian features in this home are the cross-wing plan, Eastlake style porch, tall windows, pent (45 degree angle) corners, ornamental shingles, cornice and trim, side bay window, and the picturesqueness of the overall design. The cream colored brick come from local sources but the design may have been taken from an imported house pattern book or mail order catalog. Still, the craftsmanship is of high quality, contributing to the home’s good condition .

Built at the turn of the century, this house has a story that wants to be known. The current owners, Alan and Evelynn Peterson, enlarged the home in 1996 by adding its mirror image onto the north.
