Albert Larsen House

Built about 1900 by Albert and Josephine Larsen, this one-and-one-half-story, brick dwelling has central passage plan, paired front windows, original porch and second story door leading to the porch roof. The vernacular house is unaltered on the exterior, still retaining its round porch columns and shingled dormer walls and trim.

Albert owned a confectionery and billiards hall located near the house. He and his wife raised a family of three boys and four girls, In 1948, after the Larsen’s deaths, it was purchased by Melvin and Enid Hansen who raised three sons and a daughter here. They remodeled the home, enlarging the back rooms.
