County Commission Meeting
Commission meetings will be held in the Commission Chambers (room #303) at the Sanpete County Courthouse, 160 North Main Manti, Utah. Any changes to date, time or place of these meetings will be posted 24 hours in advance. It is mandatory for anyone wishing to meet with the Commissioners to schedule an appointment with the County Clerk forty-eight (48) hours in advance of said meeting. Individuals with disabilities needing special accommodations should contact Sandy Neill at least 3 working days in advance.

As the public’s guardians of freedom within a democratic society we protect and promote public trust and confidence by administering the election process to assure timely, accurate and honest elections. We are dedicated to giving the people of Sanpete County the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.

Congress passed the law requiring states to upgrade voting systems after the 2000 Presidential Election threw the accuracy of voting in Florida in question. Voters with disabilities will be able to vote independently for the first time. This will provide both a paper and electronic voting record.
Each voter is given a voter access card by a poll worker who encodes the card with the correct ballot format and returns to the voter to slide into the voting device. The voters ballot information will appear on the screen. The voter will use these screens by reading and touching. Those with disabilities can use the visually impaired ballot system, (VIBS). Voters will use headphones to listen and a numbered key pad, to enter and cast their votes.
Through education and voter outreach, we encourage participation in the electoral process.
NOTE: All voters should bring identification to the polls on election day. Early and absentee voters should bring picture I.D. and proof of residency.
