Fairview Museum of History and Art will present the 20th Annual Fairview Lace Days, July 16-20 in cooperation with the Beehive Lacers. Classes will be held Monday and Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm., with pre-registration required. Non participants are welcome to observe. Participants must have a basic knowledge of lacing.
On Tuesday, July 17th, bring your own lace and join the lacers from 10 am to 4 pm. Come anytime and learn more about the different types of lace and the tools used to make it. There will be demonstrations information and vendor’s sellling supplies.

Amasa Edwin Merriam, Sr. born in New York. Moved to Kirtland, Ohio in 1836 then to Nauvoo. At 14 Amasa drove a team across the plains to winter quarters and later from there to Salt Lake Valley, and yet again to come to Manti in 1849. He was a pony express rider between Utah & California. He met his sweetheart Olive Diana Lytle in California. He was active in community affairs. He died Feb. 1, 1897 and is buried in Manti City Cemetery.
